Jose Daniel is a Mexican designer who has always felt fascinated by flavorful stories packed with personality. He earned a BA in industrial design and studied abroad in Jerusalem, Melbourne and Tokyo where he developed interests and skills in storytelling. While interning at the Walt Disney Company, he discovered his passion for production design. This opportunity led him to work in a production company designing for clients like Disney, Sony and Warner Bros. Studios.
He has participated in the art departments of eccentric projects such as horror, sci-fi, period and musical shorts. Daniel collaborated on the short CUANDO VOLVIMOS A LA TIERRA, a finalist in McDonald’s Spotlight Dorado contest, as an art director. Recently, he completed his thesis THE WITCH PRICKER AND THE HARE, an ambitious period short film with immense worldbuilding.
Now relocated to LA, he graduated from the AFI Conservatory with an MFA in Production Design. He aims to keep finding vibrant stories to develop and become a successful production designer for feature films.
